Falcons lose 24-9 to the Carolina Panthers
The Falcons had a crushing loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, again failing to score a touchdown on the road. It just seems that the Falcons can beat up on bad teams but lose against teams that are better than them. Micheal Turner had a woeful day, rushing for only 3.1 yards per carry on 18 carries. Turner might be letting the rushing title slip out of his grasp. Matt Ryan had 21 completions, but the offense only advanced 3.5 yards per completion. The defense didn't hold up well against the strong running game of Carolina and a couple of guys got roughed up. Sam Baker, the rookie starter at left tackle and Laurent Robinson the team's slot reciever, are questionable for practice this week. The good news is that Lawyer Milloy, coming back from a rib injury, will likely play against Green Bay.
